Daddy Ball
If you or your kid loves baseball this podcast is for you. It includes tons of good info for parents interested having their kids play baseball at any level, from little Tee-ballers to high school scout teams. The guests run travel ball organizations, baseball leagues (PONY, Little League, Cal Ripken), are umpires; and, have had experience coaching kids sports, specifically baseball for the most part, and played sports themselves as kids, in high school, college and even professionally at the top levels. Alan's two boys started in Little League, 2012, and since have played PONY, and travel ball. Alan began and ran a highly competitive organization in the South Bay of Los Angeles (Torrance based) with teams ranging from 8U to 13U. He now enjoys helping out as a parent and watching his boys play baseball and his daughters ballet and dance performances. We want to let you know, from a variety of voices and experiences, what to expect when you sign up for baseball: the costs, the atmosphere, amount of time you will need to dedicate, and much more that goes into your family and children's sports experience. Daddy Ball with "The Demp"
This episode is one of my son's first coaches he had other than me. Mikey Dempster, AKA The Demp, coached him at the PONY League Pinto Division on the TABB Dodgers. They didn't lose a game all year and it was a new experience for our family to be in PONY, as opposed to Little League. We followed The Demp into "travel ball" (aka: club baseball) and our lives have never been the same.
I get to ask Mikey his opinions on a lot of hot topic questions for parents today regarding travel ball, PONY, Little League and other sports as well. He's an insightful and intelligent speaker and has great background in sports and an active lifestyle. Mikey is RIPPED and not much younger than me.
